CES offer a wide range of Sheet Metal Fastenings from Stock in Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

If you require something special we can help there too: our In House Manufacturing can provide fastener solutions from small to large volumes with Short Lead-Times.

Quality Guaranteed: our in-house quality procedures ensure both Product and Service quality is second
to none.

Self Clinching Fasteners provide strong load bearing male or female threads in thin sheet metal.

Self Clinching Fasteners work by utilising a click ring which when squeezed into the panel is filled with metal by a cold flow process. This effectively locks the fastener into the panel and provides high torque and push out performance.

Broaching Fastenings provide strong re-useable threads in non-ductile materials:
printed circuit boards, polycarbonates, acrylics, glass epoxy and resin laminates etc.

Studs are provided with and electro tin finish and provide excellent solderability.

Rivet Bushes provide strong reusable threads in panels too thin to be conventionally tapped.
They can be installed into panels as thin as 0.5mm and do not suffer from the maximum hardness limitations of Self Clinching Nuts and Standoffs so are suitable for installation into Stainless Steel panels.

Ideally, Rivet Bushes should be installed using a press with a suitability profiled punch however, they can be installed using a hammer and ball bearing.

CES can supply Rivet Bushes to suit a range of panel thicknesses and can supply parts to non-standard dimensions and hole sizes to suit your specific application.

Blind Rivet Nuts provide strong reusable threads in panels too thin to be conventionally tapped or in applications where only one side of the panel is accessible for installation - box section is a good example. They can be installed into panels as thin as 0.5mm and do not suffer from the maximum hardness limitations of Self Clinching Nuts so are suitable for installation into Stainless Steel panels.

Blind Rivet Nuts require a special tool for installation - tooling ranges from very low cost hand tooling for low volume, to air powered automatic installation guns for high volume applications.

Blind Rivet Nuts also have an advantage over other captivated fasteners because they can be installed on site after a component has been assembled. They can also be used for repair work to replace a previously installed fastener that has failed. The fact that they offer blind installation means that you do not have to have access to the back of the panel.
Available in Open Body and Closed End Styles, in Thinsheet, Flat Head, Countersunk and Hexagon head styles in Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium, with the option of a splined body for extra grip when installing into soft materials.

Stud welding is a versatile single process fastening process where a male threaded stud or standoff can be end joined to a sheet metal application instantaneously. Threaded and unthreaded weld studs as well as internally threaded standoffs are available in a range of thread types and lengths.

The capacity discharge process is suitable for attaching smaller diameter fasteners in thin sheet metal applications. The weld cycle is completed in milliseconds meaning that weld can be achieved without generating pronounced distortion or discolouration on the reverse side of the panel.

Weld nuts are available in both hexagon and square configurations. Ideally suited to applications requiring high strength they are installed using industry proven welding technology to a pre-pierced sheet of metal.
The major advantage of weld studs and nuts is their very low cost however this can often be offset against the investment required for the installation equipment. Large volume production runs truly realise the cost savings of this type of fastener.
